Hi,

Can you use ArmyCalc to create a ruleset where the unit selections are defined by logic choice and not points allowances? For example, say there was a template for an army that stated how many units of certain types you could take, and limited which types of units that could be selected by using logic statements based on which units had already been selected.

Thanks in advance. This site is a great resource.

Cheers,

Chris

You can create a ruleset and set all units and bonuses costs to 0. Also, set default army size to 0. This values will still be displayed as a ugly column of zeros in editors.
Later on I can think about better support for this.

Each unit can have its "max" and "min" fields which can limit occurrences of certain unit.
Check Warmachine rulesets for an example.

To create more complex rules, for example: "If you have X of units A then you can have up to Y of units B" you will have to create a custom validation script in Lua.
If you have experience with programming this should be rather easy.
You can check Example Ruleset: Number of "Soldier Wagon" units is limited by number of "Soldiers" units.
If you don't know how to do this just start creating units and write here what exactly should be checked. I'll be happy to help.

good luck!
